eHarmony and Match.com are two of the worlds largest and most popular dating sites. It’s hard to go wrong we either site but since they are both paid dating sites how do their membership prices compare?

eHarmony Basic Monthly Membership Costs

Site Duration Cost Per Month
Match.com 12 Months $18.95
eHarmony 12 Months $25.95
Match.com 6 Months $39.95
eHarmony 6 Months $42.95
Match.com 1 Month $59.95

So if you join for 12 months then Match.com is the cheapest option with a monthly membership prices of $18.95, making it $7 per month cheaper than eHarmony. If you prefer a shorter 6 month subscription then Match.com is again cheaper but only by $3 per month. Both dating sites cost the same for the single monthly subscription option.

Which site to join? Despite the small extra cost my recommended dating site right now is eHarmony and that’s despite meeting my own girlfriend on Match.com.

Match.com Mini Review

Match.com was the world’s first online dating site established way back now in 1995, so they have had a little time to create the best possible online dating experience, but have they managed to achieve this? In short, YES. Whenever I find myself single Match.com is my first dating site of choice. I met my current girlfriend Charlotte on the site after only 3 months, my brother and best friend both met their wives on Match.com, and many friends have also met their partners on Match too.

So what is it that makes Match.com such a great dating site? The site itself is very easy to navigate on either a desktop or a mobile device. But it’s really the millions of real members that make this dating site stand out from the crowd. The team behind Match also put in a lot of effort to ensure that the site is free from fake profiles and dubious scammers, providing assurance that the people you are talking to are genuinely looking for love just like you.

The fact that Match is also a paid dating site also helps to attract singles who are more serious about meeting a partner rather than just having a quick fling. Despite being a paid dating site the membership prices are very reasonable. And I know it probably sounds silly, but can you really put a price on finding your true love? I forget exactly what I paid for my last Match.com membership, but it was probably around £90 for 6 months at the time (I’m in the UK), but I can tell you than I’d happily pay thousands to meet Charlotte again, she’s worth so much more to me than my monthly Netflix and Amazon Prime membership costs.

So in short, if you are serious about finding a partner for life sooner rather than later, then you need to join Match.com today!

Here’s one of the latest Match.com Adverts on YouTube, it’s worth a watch.

Match.com Tips and FAQ’s

Before you jump into the world of online dating with Match, here are a couple of top tips and FAQs to get you off to the best possible start.

How Does Match.com Work?

Match.com works by allowing you to search for profiles using a range of filters such as age, height, weight, ethnicity. When you find someone that you like the sound of you simply send them a message. Try to resist the temptation to wink at them, a message shows that you are a lot more serious. Match also presents you with a number of matches that their system things you might like, so it’s also worth checking these out too.

How Long to Join For?

In America and Canada there is a membership option for 24 months! But honestly this is ridiculous!! I always recommend to join for at least 6 months, this gives you plenty of time to find your perfect match and the cost is also much more reasonable. The one month memberships are not only far too short (unless you are very lucky), but also far too expensive.

Cancel the Auto-renewal Feature

As with the vast majority of subscription based services, unless you turn off the automatic renewal your membership will be automatically renewed when your chosen subscription period ends. And if you have already found your match, then I’m sure would much rather be spending this money on them than extending your online dating membership, at least I would hope so!

How to Use Match.com Without Paying

Simply make use of the free trial buttons on this page. A credit card is not required for the free trial.

How to Contact Match.com

You can either contact Match.com through the support option from within your account, or give them a call on 800-926-2824. For cancellations the best number to reach them on is: 800-326-5161

How Much Does it Cost to Join Zoosk in 2019?

August 27, 2019 By Tim

zoosk cost

Before I tell you how much Zoosk costs to join in 2019, I have to tell you that Zoosk is one of the worst dating sites that I’ve ever had the misfortune to sign-up to. You will find more fake profiles on Zoosk than flies on a turd.

If you are serious about finding love then I’d recommend staying well clear of Zoosk and instead check how much it costs to join a genuine dating site like eHarmony or Match.com.

Keep scrolling down if you would like to know why Zoosk is so bad, but first of all I’ll answer the question that brought you here: How Much Does Zoosk Cost in 2019?

Zoosk Monthly Membership Cost (USA/CA) 2019

Duration Cost Per Month
12 Months $12.50
6 Months $12.50
3 Months $20.00
1 Month $29.99

Zoosk Monthly Membership Cost (UK)

Duration Cost Per Month
6 Months £11.99
3 Months $15.98
1 Month $22.74

But I’m afraid these are not the only costs when you join Zoosk as they will also try to sell you Zoosk Coins.

What are Zoosk Coins?

Zoosk coins let you send other site members virtual gifts, emails, and also highlight your profile in search. As well as buying the coins you can also earn them for free by becoming friends with Zoosk on Facebook, recommending a friend to Zoosk, plus a few other options. Here are the current coin prices:

USA/Canada Coin Prices
$49.95 for 700 coins
$19.95 for 250 coins
$9.99 for 95 coins

UK Coin Prices
£74.94 for 1800 coins
£29.98 for 480 coins
£14.99 for 180 coins

Zoosk Free Membership Options

Just like many dating websites Zoosk offers a free membership option. This simply lets you create an account, search profiles on the site (mostly fake), send winks and receive chat requests. However, if you want to contact anyone on the site you will need a paid membership.

Zoosk Mini Review

Zoosk is certainly not a new dating site, it’s been around for quite some time. The site is actually very easy to use but unfortunately suffers badly from fake profiles.

I’ve been using dating sites on and off for the last 20 years as well as writing about them, so I can spot a scam and fake profiles from a mile away. The village where I grew up has around 20,000 inhabitants but if I search Zoosk with a radius of 2 miles it returns well over 200,000 members! You can also do an image search on some of the profile photos and you’ll soon find that they have been copied from many other websites and dating sites.

When you first join up you will also receive a ridiculous number of messages, winks and chat requests. I created a profile and within only 24 hours I’d received over 15 messages (which of course you can’t read without paying for a subscription). Since I don’t look like George Clooney this is a clear sign that Zoosk is playing dirty games to try and get their grubby hands on your wallet or purse.

I can only recommend staying well away from this extremely dubious dating site.

My Alternative Recommendation

If you are serious about finding love then I’d recommend staying well clear of Zoosk and instead check how much it costs to join a genuine dating site like eHarmony or Match.com. I met my girlfriend Charlotte on Match.com and have also had success meeting people on eHarmony in the past too. Just please don’t join Zoosk!

How Much Does it Cost to Join eHarmony in 2019?

August 27, 2019 By Tim

eharmony cost

eHarmony is the World’s leading dating site and the most popular choice for serious daters who are looking for love and prefer commitment over a casual encounter.

Yes eHarmony is a paid dating site, but this helps to discourage those who are less serious about dating and also keeps the fake profiles at bay. And providing you join for 6 months or longer eHarmony costs no more per month than a good night out. In fact, you might even have some change left in your pocket to pay for your first date.

So how much does eHarmony cost? Here are the latest 2019 monthly subscription prices to join eHarmony in the USA, Canada and the UK.

USA & Canada Basic Monthly Membership Costs in 2019

Name Duration Cost Per Month
Great Value 24 Months $10.95

Basic Membership or the Total Connect Plan?

When you take out a paid subscription with eHarmony you’ll find out that they offer two different membership options. The least expensive eHarmony option is called the basic membership plan and the slightly more expensive eHarmony cost option is called the total connect membership plan. The prices shown above are for the basic plan and the total connect plan. Sometimes you will find that the Total Connect plan that includes more features is actually cheaper than the basic plan, strange but true!

The below table shows the main differences between the two plans:
eHarmony Basic Vs Total Connect Plan

As you can see, with the Total Connect plan you can phone your matches without revealing your number and get a deeper analysis of your personality. But you can make use of both Skype and Google Talk for making anonymous phone calls, so I really don’t believe that it’s worth the extra cost just for a deeper analysis of your own personality. The money you save could be better spent on your first date. As if you do join eHarmony, it’s unlikely to be very long before you are going out on your first date.

eHarmony Mini Review

If you are looking for love and someone with whom you can share your life with then eHarmony is most definitely worth joining. After all, you can’t really put a price tag on love, if you find your soulmate then they will be priceless to you.

eHarmony also offers one of the largest membership pools of single adults in the world and their compatibility matching system is second to none. It provides the ultimate helping hand to ensure you are matched with someone that you are almost guaranteed to click with from the first contact.

The site itself is very easy to use and their mobile apps means you can keep in touch with your matches whilst out and about.

The fact that it’s a paid dating site helps to ensure that scammers are kept away and that your only contact will be with genuine matches who are also looking for love as opposed to a quick encounter.

I’ve personally met a number of wonderful people on eHarmony, yet if I’m being perfectly honest I met my current girlfriend Charlotte on Match.com. Luckily I’ve not been single for a while now, but I’ve found in the past that joining both Match.com and eHarmony is the best way to speed up the process of finding that someone special.

How Long Should I Join For?

At least six months. It takes time and effort to find someone special unless you are incredibly lucky or blessed with good looks. Both the 6 month and 12 month subscription options also offer the best value. Just whatever you do, don’t pinch pennies by joining for a single month as it is far too expensive and it will most likely be money down the drain.

Please Be Aware of Automatic Renewals

As you may or may not be aware, all dating sites as well as many other subscription based services like to make use of automatic subscription renewals and eHarmony is no different. They will automatically extend your subscription 24 hours before it is due to expire. So if you have taken out a 6 month subscription it will be automatically renewed for a further 6 months unless you disable automatic renewals. I recommend that you turn this off as soon as possible, as many people forget until they receive their bank statement but then unfortunately it’s too late.

How Much Does it Cost to Join Guardian Soulmates in 2019?

June 6, 2019 By Tim

guardian soulmates cost

Guardian Soulmates is a popular dating site run by The Guardian Newspaper.

I’m not going to write much about the site here since I know you would simply like to know how much it costs to join. Here’s are the latest subscription costs for Guardian Soulmates in 2019:

Guardian Soulmates Cost 2019

Duration Cost Per Month
6 Months £16 / $20
3 Months £21 / $27
1 Month £32 / $40

Soulmates Free Membership Option

Like many other dating sites Guardian Soulmates offers a free membership option. However, all this lets you do is create an account, search profiles on the site, send winks and receive chat requests. However, if you want to contact anyone on the site you will need a paid membership.

Soulmates Mini Review

Since Soulmates is run by a left-wing newspaper you are going to find that the majority of members on the site are also leaning to the left. If this is you then it’s really hard to go wrong with Soulmates. The site itself is very user friendly and they do a great job and keepers fake profiles in check. Just make sure that you cancel the automatic membership renewals as soon as you join, it’s better to renew manually to avoid any nasty shocks on your bank statement.

Alternative Dating Site Recommendations

If you aren’t a big fan of left wing politics then Guardian Soulmates might not be the best dating site for you. I would recommend taking a look at eHarmony instead.
